“I’ve suffered from chronic migraines since I was 15, but since joining Curves I can count the number of migraines I’ve had on one hand.”

Sherrie Frontz claimed that before Curves, she was a couch potato that never left the house. She had no energy and felt bad all the time. In March of 2005, Sherrie began working out at Curves three times a week and following the Six Week Solution plan. The weight began dropping off and her energy level started rising. Her quality of life has also improved both mentally and physically. She no longer suffers from the migraines that plagued her for the majority of her life, her blood pressure is the lowest it has ever been and her cholesterol dropped to normal. Sherri says, "I have so much energy I look for things to do! I have added walking to my Curves program and I feel good! I have tried to lose weight before, but nothing worked until Curves."

Curves is more than a workout and a nutrition plan, it is a community of empowered women claiming better lives for themselves. I am grateful to be a part of it.

Ann McCready is often asked “Wow, how much weight have you lost?” This always strikes her as a silly question because she says she didn’t lose a single pound! "I know exactly where all 40 pounds and 30 inches went. I left them on the Curves Circuit."
Like many women, Ann came to Curves at a crossroads in her life. She had tried fad diets and intimidating mega gyms before but could never find the motivation to stick to a routine. She thought Curves would be different. Ann valued the supportive environment of an all women’s fitness center. She quickly mastered the machines and for the first time, working out became a stress relieving activity instead of an anxiety producing one. Ann says Curves has made her stronger, more energetic and, most importantly, has made me her feel powerful. As a childhood sexual assault survivor, she viewed her excess weight as a protection against predators. "To finally let go of the weight was to become vulnerable again. The staff and members at Curves helped me to reclaim my life one pound at a time by offering a safe and supportive environment."
Today, Ann believes she is a powerful force in her life and faces each day with confidence and positive energy.

“Because of the extra weight I was carrying around, my blood pressure was high and I was put on medication for over a year. But after losing 50 pounds through Curves, my doctor took me off my prescription. And I plan to keep it that way.”

On December 28, 2006, Mary Daniel went into her Curves location and was totally taken by surprise! There on the back wall was a very large banner which read:
Congratulations
Mary Daniel
For losing 100 pounds the Curves way!
A lot of fellow Curves members had signed the banner with words of encouragement and expressions of congratulations and good will. It has been this sort of encouragement that has made her a true believer in Curves.
Before Mary Daniel joined Curves in 2004 she had already had both hips replaced. She was a self-described "couch potato." "The only thing I did was hobble to work 5 days a week, come home and dive into my Lazy Boy chair until bedtime... I was on a dead end street and I had two choices; one was to just give up and lie there or the second was to do something." After seeing her daughter's success with Curves (she had lost 80 pounds), she decided to join the Six Week Solution Class. On September 16, 2005, she weighed in at 316 pounds. After the six week diet class she had lost over 20 pounds and 17.75 inches. "Curves had just given me the first step to heal myself." Within the next month she began the Curves exercise program. Not only did she start seeing the pounds melt away, but her blood pressure lowered so much she was able to get off of her medication.Mary is no longer a "couch potato."
"I can now look back at my life and see that I was on a one way trip to nowhere! With the new attitude that has come with the shedding of some excess pounds and a renewed view of me, I don't just want to sit back in my Lazy Boy and watch the world go by. I want to become a part of it all. I am looking forward to the time I can retire so I can travel with my husband and see the country. I want to spend quality time with my children and grandchildren, and I want to become a more active, example setting Christian."
